Your machine
How to tell which you have
- Check the model name: the parts manual covers the E26ECO and the H26ECO, each also sold as QP, QPG and QPT. The final assembly list has a model decal for each: DECAL, E26ECO and DECAL, H26ECO.
- Five lines change on the H26ECO: the model decal, the recovery tank assembly, the recovery tank, the vacuum manifold and the vacuum motor. Minuteman marks the H26ECO lines HSP VERSION or 36/24V PERIF BYPASS. Pick your model above the parts list to see only your lines.
- Batteries are not tied to a model: the manual prints three battery lines (140Ah wet, 100Ah AGM and 130Ah Trojan wet) with no model marked. Match them to the batteries in your machine.
How to read this list
Our part numbers are the Minuteman number with MM in front, so Minuteman 172132 is MM172132. Each line shows the item number on the drawing. Lines from the Hako brush deck pages show Hako's material number; the note gives Hako's own part number when it differs. Blue part numbers open the part page. Lines marked Call to confirm part are not listed online yet; call 800-440-6723 and we will source them. Prices were current on ; your cart always shows the current price. Have your machine serial number ready when you call.

1Check it before you start
- Look under the machine for leaks.
- Check the rear squeegee for wear and damage.
- Check the solution tank and recovery tank levels.
- Check the water level in each battery cell. Add distilled water if it is low, to 1/4 to 1/2 in (6 to 13 mm) above the separators. Do not overfill.

2Load the brushes
- Lift the handle on the upper lever that joins the brush deck to the machine, tilt the deck up and let go. The lever locks the deck up.
- Push each brush up onto its hub (MM90542572) until it clicks. To take a brush off, pull down on its edge.
- Lift the handle again to bring the deck back to level.
- As the brushes wear, slide the splash guard (MM90298845) down. Loosen the clamp on the back of the deck with a flathead screwdriver or a 9/32 in (7 mm) socket, slide the guard to the height you want and tighten the clamp.

3Start scrubbing
- Turn the key to the on position. Wait about 5 seconds for the battery gauge to stop flashing. If it keeps flashing, use the troubleshooting guide.
- Lower the squeegee. The vacuum motor turns on by itself.
- Lower the scrub deck to the floor: move the brush lift pedal from its home (down) position to the operating (up) position.
- Move the direction switch from neutral to forward or reverse, then set the speed dial. Turning it clockwise speeds the machine up.
- Move the solution lever up to the flow you want and press the bail handle. The brush motor starts, solution flows and the machine moves. Solution stops when you let go of the bail handle. On ramps, avoid sudden stops with full tanks and avoid sharp turns.

4Charge, clean up and store
- When the battery gauge reaches the red zone, take the machine to a well-ventilated area. Unwind the charger cord from the electrical box cover and plug it in. After about 10 seconds the charge status indicator comes on. Green means full. Charging gives off explosive gas, so keep flames and sparks away and do not smoke.
- After scrubbing, lift the scrub deck, then the rear squeegee. The vacuum motor turns off after 10 seconds.
- Drain the solution tank through its drain hose and rinse the tank. Flush the recovery tank with a hose and clean the float shut-off screen.
- Take the brushes off, rinse them in warm water and hang them to dry. Take off the rear squeegee and recovery hose and rinse them with warm water.
- Store the machine indoors in a clean, dry place that does not freeze, with both tank lids open. Turn the key off and take it out.

How big are the tanks on the Minuteman E26ECO?
The solution tank holds 12 gal (45 L) and the recovery tank holds 13 gal (49 L). The machine scrubs a 26 in (65 cm) path and has a 38 in (95 cm) squeegee.

What batteries does the E26ECO use?
Two 12-volt batteries that make 24 volts. Minuteman recommends 140Ah wet or 95Ah maintenance-free gel batteries and says not to mix amp-hour sizes. Another set must match in size and capacity, and you should contact Minuteman for the charger settings.

How often should I check the battery water on my E26ECO?

Why won’t my E26ECO move when I press the bail handle?
Check the direction switch first. In the middle position the brushes and vacuum run but the machine does not move. Also look for a tripped traction drive circuit breaker, run-down batteries, or the squeegee down with the switch in reverse.

What does the flashing battery gauge mean on the E26ECO?
It flashes for about 5 seconds when you turn the key on. If it keeps flashing, it is showing a fault code: one bar means the battery needs charging or has a bad connection, and seven bars means the bail handle was pressed before the machine was on. Restart the key switch for seven bars.

When do the carbon brushes need checking on the E26ECO?
Minuteman’s chart lists a yearly carbon brush check. A qualified technician should check the vacuum motor brushes once a year or after 300 operating hours. The brush motor and transaxle motor brushes are checked every 500 hours or once a year.

Can I use the E26ECO on a ramp?
Only a gentle one. Minuteman says not to use it on ramps or inclines greater than 2%. On any incline, avoid sudden stops when the tanks are full and avoid sharp turns.

Notes on this parts list
Places where Minuteman's documents disagree, and how this page handles them. If you are unsure, call 800-440-6723 with your serial number.
- The manual's two model groups share one list: lines marked HSP VERSION or 36/24V PERIF BYPASS (printed as items 2H, 1H, 11H and 23H) are tagged H26ECO, and the matching plain lines are tagged E26ECO. The parts manual does not state which model the HSP version is; it does by the H26ECO model decal on the HSP line.
- The old style brass solution valve assembly (page 17) is printed NO LONGER AVAILABLE. The manual says swapping it for the new plastic valve assembly needs kit K-172571.
- Main assembly items 4 and 12 are both printed as 172032, LIFT PEDAL WMT.
- The electrical box list (page 23) has no item 4, and item 9 (the charger) has no quantity printed. Lines marked NOT SHOWN have no callout on their drawing.
- The final assembly list prints three battery lines for item 26: 140Ah wet, 100Ah AGM and 130Ah Trojan wet. The manual does not say which model or charger each goes with. The user manual says the gel battery is 95Ah; the parts manual calls the same number AGM 100Ah.
- The brush deck list on page 31 shows a 24 V, 600 W motor (item 11). The user manual and the Hako sheets give 550 W (3/4 HP).
- The two Hako brush deck sheets (BD-1 to BD-4) are a catalog printout dated 12/19/2019. They use Hako's own item numbers, so they do not match the brush deck numbers on page 30. The part number shown is Hako's material number; Hako's own part number is in the note when it differs. Hako also lists the brushes, drive plates and motor internals that the parts manual leaves out.
- Hako item 50 (pin housing plug to wiring harness) has no callout on its drawing.
- The parts manual's wiring part reference list (pages 38 to 41) names parts that no parts list on this page carries, such as the 230 V charger and the key switch, and calls the battery GEL 12V 100AH. Call us for those.
- The user manual gives the productivity as 30,500 ft² per hour; the parts manual gives 30,810. The user manual's size line shows metric values that do not match its inches, so this page shows inches only.
- The user manual's specification page lists models E26ECOQP and E26ECOQPG; the parts manual lists E26ECO, QP, QPG and QPT, and the H26ECO versions.
- The rear squeegee has two parts sections: the base assembly (page 33) and the complete squeegee (pages 34 and 35). Descriptions are copied as Minuteman prints them, including its spellings (for example REATINING BAND).
