How to run, chain and care for the AM2400D, from Advance's owner's manual, with the parts linked to the list above.
1Set it up
- Look into the intakes and fan before you start. Anything blocking them cuts airflow and can overheat the motor.
- Pull the unit back to one of its preset positions to aim the air.
- Plug it into a grounded outlet. Don't add an extension cord to the standard cord.

2Pick a speed
- Turn the speed knob (ADVV78210): 1 is low, 2 is medium, 3 is high.
- Low gives 2,000 CFM, medium 2,200 CFM and high 2,400 CFM.
- Turn the knob to off to stop. Never push anything into the vents.

3Chain up to three units
- The AM2400D has a daisy-chain outlet: you can plug two more AM2400D units into it and run all three on one circuit.
- If the chain overloads, the built-in circuit breaker (ADVV78019) trips.
- To reset: unplug the units, press the breaker reset button, plug back in and switch on.

4When you're done
- Unplug the unit as soon as you're done using it.
- Don't pull it by the cord, and don't unplug it by pulling on the cord.
- The transport kit (ADVV78406) is listed as an optional part (item 17 on the parts drawing).

Common Advance AM2400D parts questions
How many AM2400D air movers can I daisy chain?
Three in total: the first unit plus two more plugged into its daisy-chain outlet, all on one circuit.

Why does my AM2400D keep shutting off?
The built-in circuit breaker trips when the daisy-chain outlet is overloaded. Unplug the units, press the breaker reset button, plug back in and switch on. Keep the chain to three units.

How much air does the AM2400D move?

What maintenance does the AM2400D need?
Unplug it when you're done. Lubricate the handle and wheels with a water-resistant lubricant every month. As needed, check the cord, replace loose or missing nuts and bolts, and wipe it with a mild cleaner.
