“The MiniMag Edge 28 is the widest Edge version of Tomcat's mid-size walk-behind. In place of a round disk it runs Tomcat's Edge orbital head, a 28 x 14-inch rectangular pad driven at high speed by a 1.0 hp motor. Tomcat built it to strip floor finish with water and a prep pad instead of chemical stripper, and to wet-screen wood gym floors.
What stands out is the combination: traction drive through a 0.75 hp all-gear transaxle, up to 150 lb of down pressure, and 17 gallons each of solution and recovery on a 24-volt system. The square pad corners reach baseboards better than a round pad, and the oscillating head keeps water under the pad instead of throwing it outward.
The trade-off: the Edge head runs rectangular pads, so round pads won't carry over, and it doesn't sweep. For routine daily scrubbing alone, a disk scrubber is the simpler choice, and narrow rooms may suit the 24-inch Edge better. This listing is a reconditioned unit.”

A 1.0 hp (780 W) motor oscillates the 28 x 14 in pad at 2,000 or 2,500 rpm with up to 150 lb of down pressure, which Tomcat designed for removing floor finish with water instead of chemical stripper.
It carries 17 gal (64 L) of solution and 17 gal (64 L) of recovery. A 0.75 hp vacuum motor rated at 70 in of water lift and 70 cfm recovers the water through a 1.25 gal demisting chamber. The 24 V system uses a 155 Ah battery pack as standard for up to 4 hours of run time, and a 0.75 hp all-gear transaxle drives the machine.
