“The Tomcat GT is a heavy steel, self-propelled walk-behind sweeper for industrial floors: warehouses, factories, mills and shops where sawdust, paper dust or bulk powder builds up and a push sweeper wears the operator out. It sweeps a 34-inch path with a 26-inch main broom and a 17-inch side broom, and the 2.0 cubic foot hopper slides out on Delrin slides for dumping.
The baghouse filter is what sets it apart. Instead of a paper panel, it uses a 1-micron polymer felt bag like those on large street sweepers; turning the shaker crank drops the collected dust into the hopper, so the filter doesn't need regular replacement. A wet-sweep bypass door keeps the filter from clogging on damp floors, and the drive has fingertip speed control up to 2.7 mph with an integrated parking brake.
The trade-off is that the GT only sweeps. It picks up dry debris and dust but does not wash the floor, so pair it with a scrubber where floors need wet cleaning. It runs on a 12-volt battery system, so ask which battery and charger come with this reconditioned unit.”

The Tomcat GT is a battery-powered, self-propelled walk-behind sweeper with a 34-inch (86 cm) cleaning width, built by RPS Corporation in Racine, Wisconsin. A 26-inch direct-throw main broom turns at 400 rpm on a 1.0 hp motor, one 17-inch side broom reaches edges, and debris collects in a 2.0 cu ft (56 L) hopper that glides out on self-lubricating Delrin slides.
Dust is captured by a 1-micron polymer felt baghouse filter with 5,192 sq in of filter area. The operator turns a shaker crank to drop dust into the hopper, and a wet-sweep bypass door is opened on wet floors to keep the filter from clogging. The 1.0 hp sealed gear drive has fingertip speed control up to 2.7 mph and an integrated parking brake.
