Reconditioned Pioneer Eclipse SpeedStar 28" Propane Burnisher
Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)
“The SpeedStar is Pioneer Eclipse's ultra-high-speed (UHS) propane burnisher, a walk-behind machine for bringing back the gloss on finished vinyl and other coated hard floors across big open areas: grocery and big-box sales floors, school corridors, hospital hallways and concourses. With a 28-inch pad it covers a wide swath on every pass, and running on propane means no cord to manage and no battery charge to watch.
Propane burnishing is about pad speed and contact. A fast-spinning pad generates the heat and friction that polish the floor finish and restore shine between strip-and-recoat cycles, and a propane engine holds that speed steady for as long as the cylinder lasts. That is why propane burnishers are a common choice for large facilities that burnish every night.
The trade-offs come with the fuel: propane machines need good ventilation, carbon monoxide awareness and careful cylinder handling, and they are louder than battery burnishers. For smaller areas or occupied buildings, a battery or corded high-speed burnisher is easier to live with. This listing is a reconditioned unit.”
A 28-inch propane burnisher for high-speed floor polishing.
The Pioneer Eclipse SpeedStar is a walk-behind propane floor burnisher that Pioneer Eclipse describes as an ultra-high-speed (UHS) machine. This unit burnishes with a 28-inch pad and is powered by a propane-fueled Kawasaki engine, so it works without a cord or batteries on large finished hard floors.
The deck is cast aluminum and the handle is a bent tube with a bail-style control. Propane burnishers are used to restore gloss to floor finish between recoats and suit large open areas such as retail sales floors, corridors and concourses. Run it only in well-ventilated areas, follow carbon monoxide safety practices, and handle the propane cylinder by the manufacturer's instructions.
