“The Commodore DUO is for hotels, schools, offices, airports and event centers that look after a lot of carpet and want one walk-behind machine for both jobs: low-moisture interim cleaning between deep cleans, and restorative extraction when the traffic lanes need it. You change modes with a switch, with no swapping of tools or tanks.
The interim mode is the reason to buy it. With iCapsol encapsulating chemical, the carpet is ready for traffic in about 20 minutes, so you can clean during the day without closing areas for hours, and it runs at 63 dBA in that mode. In restorative mode, the floating dual brushes and overlapping vacuum shoes do a full deep extraction.
The trade-off is that it is a battery machine with a 20-inch path that suits corridors, ballrooms and open office areas rather than small rooms packed with furniture. This is a reconditioned unit, so ask us about its batteries and charger.”

Interim encapsulation and deep extraction in one battery machine.
The Windsor Commodore DUO is a battery-powered, self-propelled carpet extractor that handles both interim and deep cleaning. A single switch changes it from interim encapsulation to restorative extraction, with no mechanical changeover. Floating dual 20-inch counter-rotating brushes work the cleaning solution into both sides of the carpet nap with no operator adjustment, and dual overlapping vacuum shoes with glide strips recover soil and solution.
Using iCapsol encapsulating chemical in interim mode, the carpet is dry and ready for traffic in about 20 minutes, and interim cleaning extends the time between scheduled deep extractions while reducing wicking. Kärcher lists five uses: encapsulation, deep extraction, pre-spray and rinse, pre-spray and extraction, and rinse only. The machine has a 19-gallon solution tank, a 17-gallon recovery tank and a 100 psi pump, and runs at 63 dBA in interim mode.
