“The Windsor Treadway is a dedicated escalator and moving-walkway cleaner for malls, airports, transit stations and office towers where tread grooves can't be kept clean by hand. It is the Windsor-badged version of Kärcher's BR 47/35 ESC, and it cleans the steps while the escalator keeps running: two counter-rotating roller brushes scrub the treads, and combs that ride in the grooves feed four suction hoses, so the dirty water comes back into the tank instead of dripping into the escalator pit.
What stands out is how simple it is to run. A foot pedal lowers the brush head, one button starts it, and the tank-in-tank design rinses out easily. Kärcher rates it at two to three escalators an hour for maintenance cleaning, or up to one an hour for a deep clean.
The catch is fit. The combs have to match your escalator make, so tell us whether you have Otis, Kone, Schindler, Thyssen-Krupp or another brand, and plan to train whoever runs it. This is a reconditioned unit.”

The Windsor Treadway is the Windsor-badged version of Kärcher's BR 47/35 ESC escalator cleaner. It cleans escalators and moving walkways while they are running: two counter-rotating roller brushes with a centering skid scrub the treads, and outboard deflectors reach the outermost grooves. The short brush head suits fast-moving escalators, and Kärcher rates the machine at two to three escalators or walkways per hour for maintenance cleaning.
Two suction turbines and four straight suction hoses with matching combs pull the water back into the 9.2-gallon tank-in-tank system so it does not drip into the escalator shaft, and comb sets are available for different escalator makes. A foot pedal lowers the brush head, operation is one button, the handle folds for transport, and brushes and combs change without tools. Kärcher notes the machine requires operator instruction.
