“The T12 is a small rider with big-machine scrubbing power. It is narrow enough to work around racking, machinery and parked vehicles, yet it carries 35 gallons of solution and puts up to 250 pounds of down pressure on the floor. That makes it a fit for manufacturing plants, auto shops, breweries and food plants where the floors get dirty and the aisles are tight.

Start with the head. Disk is the standard choice for smooth or polished concrete and gives the most down pressure. Cylindrical brushes sweep light debris into a small hopper while they scrub, which helps on floors with light debris. The XP models put the main controls on the steering wheel and add a deluxe seat, LED lights and a back-up alarm. Then decide on ec-H2O, which cleans with electrically converted water instead of daily chemicals. The 360 Ah batteries are the long-run option, rated up to 4.5 hours.”

A compact battery rider scrubber with heavy-duty down pressure

The Tennant T12 is a compact battery-powered ride-on floor scrubber with a 32 in (800 mm) cleaning path, 41 in (1,040 mm) with the optional scrubbing side brush, a 35 gal (132 L) solution tank and a 44 gal (166 L) recovery tank. It pairs heavy-duty down pressure with a small footprint and a 73 in (1,855 mm) aisle turn, so it reaches congested areas that larger riders can't. Tennant aims it at tough cleaning jobs and at maintaining polished concrete, with case studies in breweries, industrial workshops, automotive service shops and manufacturing plants. Disk and cylindrical heads are available, and the T12 XP adds a wheel-mounted control module.

Reading the model numbers: D packages have the disk head and C packages the cylindrical head. Packages marked ec-H2O include the ec-H2O™ system, which electrically converts water to clean in place of daily floor chemicals. The T12 runs on a 36 V system: standard 240 Ah batteries run up to 2.5 hours and high-capacity 360 Ah batteries up to 4.5 hours. The T12 XP also adds a deluxe seat, LED headlights, a back-up alarm and a wheel-mounted horn as standard.
