For day-to-day upkeep, ReadySpace mode uses damp soil-transfer rollers instead of soaking the carpet, so hallways, lobbies and meeting rooms are clean, dry and back in use in under 30 minutes. When the carpet needs a full restorative cleaning, you switch to extraction mode on the same machine with the same operator.
That makes it a good fit for hotels, offices, schools and any building that can’t close an area for hours. It is battery powered with 21-gallon tanks and a 22-inch path, so there are no cords across a busy hallway. Choose the 240 Ah wet battery package for Tennant’s published 2.5-hour run time if your team keeps up with battery watering. Choose the 200 Ah AGM package if you want sealed batteries that never need water.”
A battery walk-behind carpet extractor with two cleaning modes
The Tennant 1610 ReadySpace is a 22-inch, battery-powered walk-behind carpet extractor that does both low-moisture interim cleaning (ReadySpace) and periodic restorative extraction on one platform. Counter-rotating brushes clean both sides of the carpet fiber in a single pass. It is used on commercial carpet in hotels, offices, conference centers, schools, healthcare and retail.

How ReadySpace works: Inside the machine, sprayers rinse soil from the rollers rather than the carpet, and two separate vacuum shoes pull the dirty water into the recovery tank.
