“The MULTI-SURFACE QuietClean SC9180D is Sanitaire's answer for buildings with a mix of carpet and hard floor that get cleaned during the day: offices, schools, healthcare spaces and hotels. It runs at 68 dBA, Sanitaire lists it as LEED Qualified, and its cleaning performance carries the CRI Seal of Approval at the Silver level.
The two-motor design is what makes it multi-surface. A separate brush roll motor lets you switch the brush roll off for hard floors, and it shuts down with a reset light if the brush stalls. A sealed HEPA system with a washable HEPA filter handles fine dust, and the telescopic wand has a built-in crevice tool and a dusting brush that stays attached, so tools don't go missing. Debris collects in a 4-quart Style SD paper bag, and power comes through a 50-foot pigtail cord.
At 20 pounds it is heavier than a single-motor upright, and the 13-inch path is mid-sized. If your floors are almost all carpet and you don't need the wand, the TRADITION QuietClean SC889D is lighter and simpler.”
