“The TRADITION QuietClean SC889D is Sanitaire's two-speed, 12-inch bagged upright for daytime cleaning. Offices, schools, libraries, clinics and hotel corridors are the natural fit: Sanitaire measures it at 69 dBA on the low QuietClean speed, lists it as LEED Qualified, and its cleaning performance holds the CRI Seal of Approval at the Gold level.
A 7-amp, 840-watt motor produces 145 CFM, and a rocker switch moves between QuietClean and Full Power. The 6.1-quart Style ST synthetic bag sits inside a dual-zipper cloth bag for quick changes. Upkeep is simple: the chrome brush roll and belt come out without tools, the Quick Kleen fan chamber gives access to the impeller fan, and the 50-foot pigtail cord can be replaced on its own if it gets damaged.
Know what it isn't: there are no on-board tools, filtration is bag-only rather than HEPA, and the 12-inch head covers less floor per pass than a 15-inch machine. For hard floors and above-floor dusting in a quiet machine, the MULTI-SURFACE QuietClean SC9180D adds a brush roll on/off switch, a built-in wand and HEPA filtration.”
