“The TRADITION SC888N is the bagged version of Sanitaire's 12-inch TRADITION upright. It suits facilities that want dust sealed in a disposable bag instead of shaken out by hand, such as offices, schools and hotels, while keeping the chrome hood and serviceable design of the TRADITION line.
Its cleaning performance carries the CRI Gold Seal of Approval. A 7-amp, 840-watt motor rated for 2,000 hours produces 145 CFM, and the chrome VGII brush roll uses replaceable bristle strips. Bag changes are quick with the dual-zipper pull, the brush roll and belt change without tools, and the 50-foot quick-change pigtail cord and Quick Kleen fan chamber keep service simple. It weighs 16.2 pounds.
The trade-off is that bags are a recurring item, and the 6.1-quart bag fills sooner than the 18-quart shake-out bag on the TRADITION SC886G. There are no on-board tools, and at 79 dBA it is better suited to after-hours cleaning than occupied spaces.”
