“The TRADITION SC887E is Sanitaire's 12-inch bagless dirt-cup upright, a straightforward carpet machine for offices, classrooms, churches and hotel corridors where crews want to empty and go without stocking bags. A chrome hood stands up to bumps against furniture and door frames, and the looped handle makes it easier to steer.
Under the hood is a 7-amp, 840-watt motor rated at 2,000 hours and 145 CFM. The 1.9-quart dirt cup comes off with a quick-release latch, the brush roll and belt change without tools, and the Quick Kleen fan chamber gives you access to the impeller fan when something gets pulled in. A 50-foot quick-change pigtail cord cuts down on outlet changes and makes a damaged cord a simple swap.
The trade-offs: there are no on-board tools, filtration is standard, and at 79 dBA it suits after-hours cleaning better than occupied spaces. For quieter daytime work, look at the TRADITION QuietClean SC889D; if you prefer a shake-out bag, the SC886G has the same 12-inch path.”
