“The EXTEND SC3700A is a quiet canister built for detail cleaning in spaces that stay occupied during the day. Sanitaire rates it at 68 dBA, so it suits offices, hotel common areas and libraries where a louder machine would be disruptive.
Capacity is the other strength. Its high-hat canister holds a 3.88-quart Style SA synthetic bag, so bags need changing less often. A 9-amp motor provides 65 CFM, and a manual bleeder valve lets you reduce suction on delicate surfaces. You get a metal wand and hose, a combination carpet/bare floor tool, a crevice tool and a dusting brush, and the crevice tool and dusting brush ride on a caddy on the wand so they stay within reach. The 32-foot cord gives good reach between outlets.
One honest note: 65 CFM is modest airflow, and at 14.4 pounds it is heavier than a shoulder-carried canister. If portability and stair work matter more than quiet operation, the 10-pound EXTEND SC3683D is the lighter option.”
