New Onyx TX7 27" Planetary Propane Stripping Floor Machine
Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)
“The TX7 is Onyx's planetary propane machine for stripping large floors in fewer hours. Three 10-inch heads work inside a 27-inch working width, and Onyx rates it at up to 10,000 square feet per hour, a step up from the 8,000 it rates for the single-head TX1.
The planetary head is what stands out. Onyx says the three-disc design eliminates torque on the operator, so the machine doesn't pull to one side the way a large single-disc stripper can, which makes long stripping shifts easier to control. It runs on a 708cc, 19 hp LPG engine with 12-volt electric start, carries an 8-gallon gravity-feed water tank, and adds a headlight and SAM Safe Air Monitor emissions monitoring.
The trade-off is that it is a project machine. It runs at 87 dBA and is 30 inches wide, so it belongs on open floors after hours rather than in small rooms or occupied spaces. For smaller rooms and tighter layouts, the 21-inch TX1 fits better.”
27-inch planetary propane stripping with three heads.
The Onyx TX7 is a propane planetary floor machine with a 27-inch (69 cm) working width and three 10-inch drivers or brushes. Onyx says the three-disc planetary design eliminates torque on the operator, and it rates the TX7 at stripping up to 10,000 square feet per hour. Brush and pad speed runs from 540 to 1,080 rpm, and an HDPE splash guard floating skirt surrounds the head.
A 708cc, 19 hp LPG engine with EPA certification and a 12-volt electric start powers the machine, with SAM Safe Air Monitor on-board emissions monitoring. An 8-gallon (30 L) gravity-feed water system supplies solution, a headlight lights the work area, and a 20 lb steel fuel tank runs about 6 hours. The frame is powder-coated reinforced steel.
