New Onyx JXi Battery Floor Burnisher
Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)
“The JXi is the battery-powered member of Onyx's JX burnisher family, built for facilities that want a high-speed shine without running propane indoors: hospitals, schools, retail stores and offices that burnish while people are in the building. A 36-volt battery system means no engine exhaust and no propane cylinders to store or swap.
What stands out is the dust control. The pad runs inside a skirted shroud, and a suction motor pulls burnishing dust through a vacuum hose into a dust collection bag with a filter, which helps keep that fine powder out of the air. A foot pedal raises and lowers the head, and an emergency stop button, key switch and wheel lock are built in.
The trade-off is run time and charging. A propane JX keeps going as long as you have full cylinders on hand, while the JXi has to go back on the charger between shifts. If you want lithium batteries in a burnisher, Onyx's SXi line is the one to compare.”
A 36-volt battery burnisher with built-in dust collection.
The Onyx JXi is a battery-powered high-speed floor burnisher in Onyx's JX family. It runs on a 36-volt battery system built from 12-volt, 175 Ah batteries and charges with a 36-volt, 20-amp Onyx charger. A 20-inch pad driver with a pad holder turns inside a skirted brush shroud, and a foot pedal raises and lowers the head.
A suction motor, vacuum hose, dust collection bag and filter make up the dust-control system around the shroud. Controls include a key switch and an emergency stop button. The JXi rolls on 8-inch non-marking wheels with cast aluminum hubs and 3.75-inch non-marking swivel casters, and a wheel lock brake holds it in place when parked.
