“The DX20 is the middle step in Onyx's walk-behind lineup. It is big enough for school corridors, retail sales floors, warehouse aisles and gyms, while the single 20-inch head keeps it easy to work around fixtures and into corners. It scrubs a 20-inch path, picks up with a 32-inch squeegee, and Onyx rates it at up to 24,000 square feet per hour.
What stands out is the tank and battery package on a pad-assist machine. You get 14 gallons of solution, a 16-gallon recovery tank and a 24-volt, 125 Ah AGM pack rated for 3 to 4 hours, so a normal shift does not turn into constant refilling. Head pressure adjusts from 50 to 90 lb, and both a pad driver and a scrub brush come with it.
The trade-off is that pad assist means the operator steers and does some of the pushing, and at 290 lb that shows on ramps and long runs. If that describes your building, look at the DX20T, which adds traction drive to the same 20-inch platform.”

The Onyx DX20 is a 20-inch walk-behind battery autoscrubber with pad-assist drive. A single 20-inch brush or pad turns at 180 rpm under 50 to 90 lb of adjustable head pressure, driven by a 500-watt brush motor, with a water containment skirt around the head. A 500-watt vacuum motor and 32-inch squeegee recover the water, and Onyx rates productivity at up to 24,000 sq ft per hour.
A 14-gallon solution tank and 16-gallon recovery tank are paired with a 24-volt pack of two 12-volt, 125 Ah AGM maintenance-free batteries, rated for 3 to 4 hours of run time. Pads change without tools. The frame is powder-coated reinforced steel with an LDPE body and industrial-grade bearings. The DX20 weighs 290 lb, measures 49 x 20 x 44 inches and runs under 63 dBA.
