“The SXi is for floor crews that want propane-style burnishing speed without bringing propane indoors. Onyx rates it at up to 34,000 square feet per hour with a 5 hp motor and variable pad pressure, and it runs on a 72-volt lithium iron phosphate battery with an onboard charger. At under 63 dBA with zero emissions, it fits schools, hospitals and stores that need floors done while people are in the building.
There are two choices to make. Head size: the 21-inch fits tighter areas, the 27-inch covers the most floor per pass, and the 24-inch sits in between. Battery: one 60 Ah battery gives about two hours of run time, and two batteries give about four hours for a longer shift, at the cost of 76 lb of extra weight.”
A 72-volt lithium battery burnisher built to match propane productivity
The Onyx SXi is a walk-behind, pad-assist high-speed floor burnisher powered by a 72-volt lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. Onyx built it to match the productivity of its propane burnishers, up to 34,000 square feet per hour, with zero emissions and low noise, so it can work in schools, hospitals, retail stores and other high-traffic indoor spaces. A 5 hp motor drives the pad at variable speed with adjustable pad pressure, and a floating shroud with a dust collection bag controls dust. Each SXi is ordered with a 21, 24 or 27 inch head and one or two batteries.

Reading the model numbers: In Onyx SXi model numbers, the first two digits are the head size (21, 24 or 27 in) and the last two are the battery count: 01 is one 60 Ah battery and 02 is two batteries, 120 Ah total.
