"High-Gloss shine is produced on floor finish with heat. The plastic in the product is burnished to harden it and bring about the mirror shine everyone looks for. This is the case with VCT and polished concrete flooring with sealers. While battery and corded burnishers will work to a point, nothing can accomplish this task like a propane-powered burnisher. I would recommend the Onyx JX series burnisher. It is affordable, dependable and typically available. Equipped with the Kawasaki 18HP, this 21", 24" or 27" buffer is the one you want. All three sizes also include a new 20 gallon steel tank as well."

The Onyx JX4 is a 24-inch propane floor burnisher for large retail and commercial floors. An EPA-certified engine with a three-way catalytic muffler, Onyx's patented variable jet fuel system and a patented floating shroud keep emissions and dust low.

Propane safety checklist
- ✓Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Onyx says a CO monitor or detector is essential when running any equipment that can produce it.
- ✓Make sure your building's air exchange can support a propane floor machine.
- ✓Never run the machine without its catalytic muffler, and keep the air cleaner clean; a dirty one greatly increases CO.
- ✓Use 20 lb vapor-withdrawal cylinders, don't overfill them, and close the service valve when you're done.
- ✓Store propane cylinders outside in an approved location. It is unlawful to store them inside a building.
