“The KM 150/500 R is the big one: a heavy industrial sweeper for steel and concrete plants, foundries, recycling centers, ports and large distribution yards where a 10.6 cu ft (300 L) container fills up too fast. The 17.7 cu ft (500 L) container dumps hydraulically into a dumpster, the filters clean at the push of a button, and three-wheel rear steering helps a machine this size get around.

Pick power first. The battery (Bp) models run on a 48 V steel-case battery with low noise and no exhaust, so they belong indoors around people and product. The LPG models are faster, climb steeper grades and run about four hours per tank, which suits outdoor yards and long shifts. Then choose one or two side brushes, an overhead guard where forklifts and racking are around, lights for dim areas, and on battery models a high-efficiency charger.”

The Kärcher KM 150/500 R is an industrial ride-on vacuum sweeper with three-wheel rear steering and a 500-liter (17.7 cu ft) waste container. It uses the dustpan principle, so fine waste and coarse dirt are both safely vacuumed, and two horizontal flat-fold filters keep the air clean even with large volumes of dust. The KM 150/500 R Bp runs on a 48 V steel-case battery with low noise and no exhaust emissions; the KM 150/500 R LPG runs on a Kubota 3-cylinder LPG engine. A 47-inch main roller brush and side brushes cover a 59-inch path, and options include a second side brush, an overhead guard, lights and, on battery models, a high-efficiency charger.

Reading the model numbers: Kärcher builds each package name from options: Bp is battery powered and LPG is liquid propane, STL is the steel-case battery, 2SB is a second side brush, OHG is an overhead guard, LTS is front/rear or working lights, and HE is a high-efficiency charger. For example, 9.841-349.0 is the KM 150/500 R Bp + 2SB + STL + OHG + HE + LTS.
