“If you’re keeping a high-gloss shine on big VCT floors in grocery stores, big-box retail, school corridors or hospital concourses, a propane burnisher covers more floor in a shift than a corded or battery machine. With no cord to drag and no batteries to charge, the operator drops in a cylinder and burnishes. Kärcher pairs an 18 hp Kawasaki engine with a pad that spins at up to 1,800 RPM. The fuel system is EPA and CARB certified, and the mufflers are catalytic.
Picking between the two models comes down to floor size and layout. The BDP 61/1800 runs a 24-inch pad and is rated at 28,800 sq ft per hour, so it fits stores and buildings with aisles and fixtures to work around. The BDP 69/1800 steps up to a 27-inch pad and 34,000 sq ft per hour for long, open runs where every pass counts. Indoor propane equipment needs good ventilation and a trained operator.”
Propane floor burnishers for large hard-floor areas
The Kärcher BDP 61/1800 LPG and BDP 69/1800 LPG are walk-behind, pad-assist propane burnishers for high-speed polishing of finished floors. They are used by cleaning crews and contractors in educational, institutional, retail and grocery facilities to restore gloss on finished VCT, vinyl and other coated hard floors.

Reading the model numbers: The first number is the pad size in centimeters (61 cm = 24 in, 69 cm = 27 in), and 1800 is the pad speed in RPM. LPG means the machine runs on liquefied petroleum gas (propane).
