“The BD 30/4 C Bp is a battery compact scrubber for small, congested floors: convenience stores, restrooms, cafes, clinics, offices and narrow hallways where a larger walk-behind will not fit. It weighs 44 lb with the battery, folds flat for storage, and its large wheels help it over steps between areas.
What stands out is the squeegee. It picks up in every direction, including in reverse, so you can scrub forwards and backwards around furniture without leaving water behind. The 11 in disk brush turns at 190 rpm, and the eco!efficiency mode drops the sound level from 69 to 66 dB(A) for daytime cleaning around people.
The trade-off is run time and capacity. The 36.5 V lithium-ion battery runs up to 60 minutes and takes about two hours to recharge, and the solution tank holds 0.8 gal, so it suits quick daily jobs rather than big floors. For larger areas, look at a bigger machine such as the 14 in BD 35/15 C Bp Classic.”

The Kärcher BD 30/4 C Bp (1.783-231.0) is a battery-powered compact scrubber with a single 11 in disk brush. It runs on a 36.5 V, 5.2 Ah lithium-ion battery for up to 60 minutes and recharges in about 120 minutes on an external charger. The brush turns at 190 rpm with 22 lb of contact pressure, and Kärcher rates it at 6,000 sq ft/hr theoretical and 4,000 sq ft/hr practical.
The machine is pad-assist and has a 0.8 gal solution tank and a 1.1 gal recovery tank. Its 12 in squeegee picks up water when scrubbing forwards or backwards, and the eco!efficiency mode lowers the sound level to 66 dB(A). It measures 21.9 x 14.8 x 41.4 in, has an adjustable handle, an aluminum brush head and an EC motor, and folds flat for storage.
