“The Heater 5.0/30 Ed is for anyone who already runs a cold water pressure washer and wants hot water without replacing it. It sits between the pressure washer and the gun: water from the washer passes through its oil-fired coil, so grease, oil and road film come off much more easily than with cold water alone.
What stands out is how simple it is to add. It plugs into a standard 120 V outlet and draws 5 A, carries its own 4.5 gal tank for diesel or heating oil, and connects with a wire braid hose rated to 4,500 psi with a quick coupler. The hand truck frame, easy-grip handles and 10 in pneumatic tires make it easy to move around a shop or yard.
The trade-off is matching. It is rated for up to 5 gpm and 3,000 psi, so check the pressure washer's output against those limits first, and remember it is a separate 330 lb unit to store and move. For one machine that does both, look at an HDS hot water pressure washer instead.”

The Kärcher Heater 5.0/30 Ed (1.575-650.0) is a mobile hot water generator from the HDS Heater line. It provides supplemental heat for a cold water pressure washer, heating water at up to 5 gpm at pressures up to 3,000 psi. The burner runs on 120 V, single-phase power at 5 A and is fired by diesel or heating oil, producing 380,000 BTU.
The heater is built on a 1-1/4 in steel tube frame with a ventilated metal cabinet finished in epoxy powder coat. A water-resistant control box holds the adjustable thermostat and an on/off rocker switch for the burner. It has a 4.5 gal polyethylene fuel tank, steel fittings, a 36 ft power cord with ground fault circuit interrupter, and 10 in tubed pneumatic tires on a hand truck frame.
