“The HDS 2.8/25 P Cage is the smallest gas model in Kärcher's HDS P/PE Cage line, built for contractors, farms, maintenance crews and small fleets that need hot water away from a power outlet. A recoil-start gas engine turns a direct-drive Kärcher triplex plunger pump, and a 12V DC oil-fired burner heats the water.
What stands out is the package on a small frame. Kärcher lists it at 404 lb with accessories and 39 x 28 x 42 in, yet it still carries a 6 gal burner fuel tank, a 50 ft wire braid hose with burst guard, a dual-lance variable pressure wand, an EASY!Force trigger gun and four quick-couple nozzles on the frame. The Schedule 80 coil has a stainless steel wrap.
The trade-off is output. At 2.7 gpm and 2,400 psi it handles equipment, trailers, dumpster pads and shop floors well, but heavy fleet or daily industrial washing goes faster with more flow and pressure, such as the 3.5 gpm, 3,500 psi HDS 3.5/35 Pe Cage, which also adds electric start.”

The Kärcher HDS 2.8/25 P Cage (1.575-555.0) is a gas-powered hot water pressure washer from the HDS P/PE Cage series. It delivers 2.7 gpm at 2,400 psi through a direct-drive Kärcher KG triplex plunger pump with an oil bath. A 12V DC oil-fired burner heats the water through a Schedule 80 coil with a stainless steel coil wrap, and the engine is recoil start.
The roll cage is a 1-1/4 in powder-coated steel frame with the power platform on vibration isolators, and Kärcher designs these models for construction sites, farms and factories. The control box holds the burner switch, adjustable thermostat and hour meter, and a 6 gal polyethylene tank feeds the burner. A thermal pump saver valve and a discharge-side safety relief valve protect the pump and system.
