New Karcher IB 10/15 L2P Advanced Dry Ice Blaster
Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)
“The IB 10/15 L2P Advanced is built for maintenance teams and contractors who want dry ice blasting without keeping a supply of dry ice on hand. Instead of buying pellets ahead of each job, it makes 2.5 mm (0.1 in) pellets on demand from a liquid CO2 cylinder, so it is ready whenever a mold, conveyor, engine part or control cabinet needs cleaning.
What stands out is the control. The display shows jet pressure, operating hours and service time, dry ice quantity adjusts with a button, and the gun has its own light and an ice on/off switch on the trigger. Kärcher describes the process as gentle and residue-free and lists control cabinets, electrical components and injection molding tools among its applications.
The trade-off is everything it needs around it. You supply dry, oil-free compressed air at up to 54.7 cfm, a liquid CO2 dip-tube cylinder and a 220-230 V single-phase circuit, and the work area needs good ventilation because CO2 collects in enclosed spaces. Kärcher also states the machine requires operator instruction, so plan on training before the first job.”
“Thomas Mitchell has been an amazing help. Not pushy or bothersome with anything, he got me all the information I needed. … Thank you so much for the help, I'm looking forward to the delivery of my new dry ice blasting machine!” — William G., Google review
Dry ice blasting with pellets made on site from liquid CO2.
The Kärcher IB 10/15 L2P Advanced (1.574-201.0) is a dry ice blaster with integrated dry ice production. L2P stands for Liquid to Pellet: the machine makes 2.5 mm (0.1 in) dry ice pellets on demand from liquid CO2 and uses 4.4 to 33 lb (2 to 15 kg) of dry ice per hour. An integrated heat exchanger cools the liquid CO2, which Kärcher says raises dry ice production efficiency by about 50%.
Jet pressure, operating hours and service time are shown on the display, the dry ice quantity is set with a button, and status displays and pressure monitoring assist the operator. The blasting gun has quick-release nozzle couplings, integrated lighting and an ice on/off switch on the trigger. CO2 is vented through an exhaust hose, the trigger is self-locking, and the operator has no contact with the pellets.
Includes:
- Jet gun with 16 ft (5 m) spray hose and nozzle light
- Flat jet nozzle, short, 3 mm
- Flat jet nozzle, long, 4 mm
- 1/2 in pressure reducer kit with water and oil separator
- Ring spanner wrench for the CO2 cylinder
Not included: Liquid CO2 cylinder and dry, oil-free compressed air supply (customer supplied); protective equipment sold separately.
Features:
- Makes 2.5 mm dry ice pellets on demand from liquid CO2
- Integrated heat exchanger for more efficient dry ice production
- Display shows jet pressure, operating hours and service time
- Blasting gun with quick-change nozzles, light and ice on/off switch
- CO2 vented through an exhaust hose; self-locking gun trigger
