Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)

“The IB 15/120 Adv is the large pellet-fed blaster in Kärcher's dry ice line, built for heavy, high-volume cleaning such as big molds and production machinery that would take too long with a compact unit. It uses 66 to 265 pounds of dry ice per hour at up to 232 psi, and its 88-pound container keeps it blasting longer between refills.

What stands out is the range it covers. Supply pressure runs from 29 to 232 psi and air consumption from 70 to 423 cfm, and Kärcher marks every nozzle with an air volume index from XS to XXL, so the same machine can be matched to a modest air supply or opened up for heavy buildup. A nozzle case mounts on the machine, an oil and water separator is built in, and a button empties leftover ice so the machine doesn't freeze up.

The trade-off is what it takes to feed it. Running at the top of its range calls for a large compressor delivering dry, oil-free air, a steady pellet supply and hearing protection. Facilities working from a typical shop air system should look at the IB 7/40 Advanced instead.”

“Thomas Mitchell has been an amazing help. Not pushy or bothersome with anything, he got me all the information I needed. … Thank you so much for the help, I'm looking forward to the delivery of my new dry ice blasting machine!” — William G., Google review

High-volume dry ice blasting for heavy industrial cleaning.

The Kärcher IB 15/120 Adv is a dry ice blaster for heavy, high-volume cleaning. It blasts 0.12 in (3 mm) dry ice pellets with compressed air at up to 232 psi and uses 66 to 265 lb (30 to 120 kg) of dry ice per hour. The pellets turn into CO2 gas on impact, so no blasting media is left behind, and machines and molds do not need to be taken apart for cleaning.

It runs on 120 V, 60 Hz power and draws 70 to 423 cfm (2 to 12 m³/min) of dry, oil-free compressed air through a 3/4 in hose. The stainless steel unit holds 88 lb (40 kg) of pellets and has an integrated oil and water separator, a nozzle case that mounts on the machine and push-button emptying of leftover ice. Kärcher requires operators to be trained before use.

Includes:

  • Jet gun
  • Spray hose with electrical control cable and quick couplings
