It weighs about 5.3 pounds, runs at 56 dB(A) and turns on with a foot switch, so staff can grab it and use it in occupied spaces without dragging out a cord.
What stands out is how simple it is to keep running. The 7.2 V, 2.5 Ah lithium-ion battery comes out in one step, the roller brush removes without tools, and the low, flat head works on both hard floors and carpet. Kärcher rates runtime at up to 51 minutes on hard floors and 41 minutes on carpet, and the telescopic handle adjusts to the user's height and locks upright for storage.
The trade-off is capacity. The dirt container holds about a quarter gallon, so this is a tool for touch-ups, not for whole floors or heavy debris. For larger carpeted areas, an upright or wide-area vacuum is the right machine, with the EB 30/1 kept nearby for spot work.”
