“The LFT Cage 4.0/40 Ge is a portable hot water unit for fleet yards, equipment dealers, farms and contractors who need hot water where there is no electrical outlet. A Kärcher 420 cc gasoline engine with electric start drives the pump, and a downdraft burner fired by diesel or heating oil heats the water, so it needs no outlet at the job site.
What stands out is the output and the layout: 4,000 psi at 4.0 gpm, water up to 210°F, an hour meter, an adjustable thermostat and downstream chemical injection. Kärcher's low center of mass frame, the engine and pump isolated from the frame, and the quick-release control panel make it easier to move and to service.
The trade-offs: at more than 400 pounds, plan on a ramp, liftgate or forklift to load it, and it runs on two fuels, gasoline for the engine and diesel or heating oil for the burner. You also supply the 12-volt starting battery. If hot water is only needed in one wash bay with power available, an electric hot water unit may suit you better.”

The Kärcher LFT Cage 4.0/40 Ge (1.110-136.0) is a portable hot water pressure washer rated at 4,000 psi and 4.0 gpm. A Kärcher 420 cc gasoline engine with electric start drives a direct-drive crankcase pump, and a downdraft, forced-air burner fired by diesel or heating oil delivers 274,300 BTU/h for water up to 210°F. The 12 V starting battery is not included.
The powder-coated steel frame has a low center of mass, the engine and pump are isolated from the frame to reduce vibration, and a stainless steel skin covers the coil. A quick-release control panel gives easy access to components. The unit comes with a 50 ft high-pressure hose, a 48 in spray lance, four quick-connect nozzles, an hour meter, an adjustable thermostat, downstream chemical injection and flat-free tires.
