New Karcher 9450 Oil-Fired Stationary Hot Water Generator
Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)
“The 9450 is for a shop that already runs a stationary cold water pressure washer and wants hot water without replacing it. It is a heating module: plumb it in after a cold water unit flowing 6 to 10 gpm at up to 3,200 psi, and the pressurized water passes through a vertical heating coil fired by fuel oil or diesel. Fleet wash bays, oilfield yards and food processing plants are the kind of places it fits.
What stands out is that it keeps the pump and the heat separate. The cold water washer stays as it is, and the 9450 adds the hot water that cuts grease and oil. The cabinet is heavy-duty powder-coated steel, the coil is Schedule 80 steel, and it runs on a standard 115V single-phase supply drawing 8 amps.
The trade-off is installation. This is a fixed, oil-fired unit, so plan the fuel supply, exhaust and location before it arrives. If the site runs on natural gas instead, the gas-fired 9452 is the matching model.”
Adds hot water to an existing cold water pressure washer.
The Kärcher 9450 (1.103-905.0) is an oil-fired stationary hot water generator from the 9400 Series. It attaches to a cold water pressure washer delivering 6 to 10 gpm at up to 3,200 psi and heats the pressurized water in a high-efficiency vertical heating coil, burning fuel oil or diesel. It operates on 115V single-phase power and draws 8 amps.
The heating coil is Schedule 80 steel, and the heavy-duty steel cabinet has an epoxy powder-coat finish for all-weather protection. Operating instructions are printed on trilingual labels in English, Spanish and French, and the unit is ETL safety certified. Kärcher lists fleet, oilfield and food processing among its applications and recommends pairing it with stationary cold water pressure washers.
