“The BV 11/1 Vac Pac 10 HEPA is the larger of Kärcher's two Vac Pac backpack vacuums, built for crews covering long routes: office floors, hotel corridors, auditoriums, stairwells and buses. Carrying the vacuum on the back means working around furniture with a wand rather than steering a machine through it.
The 10 qt bag is the reason to pick it. It holds more between changes than the 6 qt BV 7/1 while adding only about 1 lb, for 11 lb in all. Filtration runs through a cloth bag, a paper bag and a HEPA pleated filter, Kärcher rates it at 67 dB(A) for daytime work, and the 50 ft cord, hip switch and 360-degree hose swivel keep the operator moving.
The trade-off is height. The 10 qt body stands 23.7 in tall versus 19.8 in for the BV 7/1, which matters for shorter operators and for tight spots such as restroom stalls and under stairs. If the bigger bag is not needed, the BV 7/1 is the more compact choice.”

A paper bag sits inside a cloth filter bag, a HEPA pleated filter protects the motor, and the machine plugs into a standard 120 V outlet with a 50 ft cord.
The rugged molded polyethylene housing handles the knocks of daily commercial cleaning. Padded shoulder straps and hip belt adjust to fit nearly any operator, and a sternum strap keeps the load steady.
