New Karcher KIRA CV 60/1 24" Autonomous Stand-On Wide-Area Vacuum
Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)
“The KIRA CV 60/1 is for facilities with large, repetitive vacuuming routes, such as airports, convention centers, office campuses and big retail floors, that want to take the long nightly passes off their staff. Routes are taught and stored, then the machine repeats them on its own using BrainOS navigation and an array of 3D and 2D cameras and sensors, recalculating its path when it detects an obstruction.
It is also a working stand-on vacuum. A touch on the LCD switches between autonomous and manual modes, pressure points detect an operator taking over, and in manual mode it climbs grades up to 10% (2% when autonomous). Two cylindrical brushes and a 9 in side broom feed a HEPA-rated 4.7 gal bag, a 36 V lithium-ion battery with an on-board charger powers it, and cleaning reports come through to a phone or tablet.
The trade-off is planning. Autonomy runs on BrainOS software licensed separately from the machine, routes have to be mapped and staff trained, and it is sized for open areas rather than rooms full of furniture. For smaller sites, the KIRA CV 50 or a manual stand-on vacuum is a simpler start.”
A 24 in stand-on wide-area vacuum that learns routes and repeats them on its own.
The Kärcher KIRA CV 60/1 (1.012-106.0) is a battery-powered, stand-on wide-area vacuum that runs either autonomously or with an operator on board. BrainOS, a cloud-connected AI operating system, uses multiple 3D and 2D cameras and sensors to follow stored routes and recalculate them when obstructions are detected. Operators can teach and store multiple routes, switch modes from the LCD and receive real-time reports on a smartphone or tablet.
It cleans a 24 in path with two cylindrical brushes and a 9 in side broom; fine dirt goes into a HEPA-rated 4.7 gal vacuum bag and larger debris into a debris tray. Kärcher rates productivity at 18,000 sq ft per hour. A 36 V lithium-ion battery with an integral battery management system and an on-board charger powers the machine, and an electric brake engages when the operator steps off the platform.
