“The BDP 51/1500 C is a 20 in corded burnisher for facilities that keep finished floors glossy on a regular schedule: schools, offices, clinics and retail. Running at 1,500 rpm, it sits between a low-speed floor machine and a 2,000 rpm burnisher, and Kärcher rates it at 9,091 sq ft per hour.
What stands out is how quietly it works. Kärcher lists 62 dB(A), which helps in buildings that stay occupied while floors are maintained. The 1.5 hp permanent magnet DC motor drives the pad through a belt, the handle adjusts to the operator, and dual switch levers with a safety lock plus a mechanical interlock help prevent accidental starts. Four 5 in non-marking wheels and a 75 ft cord round it out.
The honest trade-off is speed. At 1,500 rpm it takes more passes to reach the gloss a 2,000 rpm machine gets, so for large areas where shine is the priority, the BDP 51/2000 C, with its active dust control and floating handle, is the better match.
