“The BDP 51/2000 C is a 20 in corded burnisher for keeping finished hard floors glossy in schools, retail, healthcare and office buildings between strip-and-recoat cycles. At 2,000 rpm it runs a burnishing pad at true high speed, and Kärcher rates it at 10,000 sq ft per hour.
Two details matter day to day. Active dust control pulls burnishing dust into a disposable paper bag instead of leaving it on the floor and in the air, and the floating handle keeps pad pressure constant without the operator bearing down. The 1.5 hp permanent magnet DC motor drives the pad directly, so there are no belts to adjust or replace, and a mechanical interlock helps prevent accidental starts.
The trade-off is the cord. Seventy-five feet covers a lot of floor, but large open areas still mean moving between outlets, and busy corridors need cord management. For a 1,500 rpm machine that runs quieter, at 62 dB(A) against 67, look at the BDP 51/1500 C; for very large floors where a cord gets in the way, a battery burnisher is the better fit.”

The Kärcher BDP 51/2000 C (1.009-099.0) is a corded high-speed burnisher that turns a 20 in pad at 2,000 rpm. A 1.5 hp single-speed permanent magnet DC motor drives the flexible pad driver directly from the motor shaft, and an active dust control system collects burnishing dust in a disposable paper bag. Kärcher rates practical productivity at 10,000 sq ft per hour with an operating noise level of 67 dB(A).
The floating, self-adjusting handle maintains constant pad pressure and has a thumb-activated safety lock. A mechanical safety interlock helps prevent accidental start-ups, a built-in circuit breaker protects the motor, and a non-marking bumper protects the machine and facility. Four 5 in non-marking wheels carry it between areas, and the 75 ft cord runs on a 15 A, 120 V circuit. Use pads rated for burnishing at 2,000 rpm or more.
