“The Admiral XL is the larger of Kärcher's two Admiral compact extractors, aimed at facilities that clean their own carpet: hotels, schools, healthcare buildings and community spaces. It cuts an 18 in path, carries 12 gallons of solution and 11 of recovery, and is rated at 3,200 sq ft per hour in restorative mode, so corridors and meeting rooms get done without constant trips to the sink.
What stands out is how much it does to keep results consistent from one operator to the next. The SmartSpeed light stays green at the right cleaning speed and flashes red when the operator moves too fast or too slow, and one rotary dial selects Deep Extract, Eco! low moisture, Double Scrub, Vac Only or Accessory Tool. Eco! mode puts down less solution for interim cleaning and faster dry times.
The honest trade-off: there is no drive motor. The Admiral XL is pulled back by its handle, and at 126 lb that takes some effort on long runs. For smaller rooms the 16 in Admiral X is lighter, and for large open carpet a self-propelled walk-behind like the BRC 46/76 W makes more sense.”

The Kärcher Admiral XL BRC 45/45 C (1.008-161.0) is a compact, corded carpet extractor with an 18 in cleaning path, a 12 gal solution tank and an 11 gal recovery tank. A 3-stage vacuum motor provides 120 in of water lift, a 90 psi pump feeds four quick-change jets, and an 18 in brush roll turns at 1,000 rpm. Kärcher rates practical productivity at 3,200 sq ft per hour at 68 dB(A).
Clear sight windows on the vacuum shoe and recovery tank show the operator what is being picked up. The brush and vacuum shoe come off without tools, the handle adjusts for operators of different heights, and the controls sit at the operator's fingertips. The machine plugs into a standard 15 A, 120 V outlet with a 50 ft cord, and an Accessory Tool mode is provided for upholstery cleaning.
