“The Comet 419TR is one of EDIC's compact 3-gallon self-contained carpet extractors. It fits spot cleaning, traffic lanes and small carpeted rooms where rolling out a full-size machine doesn't make sense. At 40 lb with a handle that folds down, one person can carry it up a flight of stairs and store it in a closet.
What stands out is how simple it is to run. You fill the lift-off bucket at the sink and set it on the machine instead of pouring solution in, and the dirty water goes into a bladder inside the same bucket. A four-row chevron brush at 2,500 RPM does the agitation, and the brush and vacuum shoe adjust and level themselves to the carpet. Upholstery and stair tools connect at the back when you need them.
The trade-off is capacity and recovery. Three gallons means frequent refills on anything bigger than a few rooms, and the single 2 HP vacuum is rated at 85 inches of water lift. For larger areas, look at the Polaris 701PS, with a 7-gallon tank and a 17-inch head.”

The EDIC Comet 419TR is a self-contained carpet extractor that sprays, scrubs and recovers in one pass. It holds 3 gallons, cleans a 12-inch path, and recovers with a 2 HP vacuum motor rated at 100 CFM and 85 inches of water lift. A 1/6 HP brush motor drives a four-row chevron brush at 2,500 RPM on sealed stainless steel bearings.
The Comet weighs 40 lb and has a handle that adjusts to the operator and folds down for storage. Solution goes into a lift-off bucket with a recovery bladder, so the bucket is filled at the sink and set on the machine. It has a see-through recovery dome, a side extension for cleaning to baseboards, 7-inch non-marking wheels and a 25 ft cord with a 10 amp draw.
