New EDIC Fivestar 411TR 12" Self-Contained Carpet Extractor with Flow Control
Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)
“The 411TR is the Fivestar to pick if the same small crew cleans both carpet and hard floors. It is the same 40 lb, 12-inch self-contained extractor as the 401TR, with a solution control valve added that switches between high and low flow.
That valve is the reason to choose it. High flow puts down more solution for a deeper clean on carpet, and EDIC's operator manual includes a floor setting for cleaning hard floors with the brush and vacuum. Everything else is the standard Fivestar: a 2,500 RPM chevron brush, 85 psi spray, 107 inches of water lift and the lift-off bladder bucket that you fill and empty at the sink, so nothing gets poured into the machine.
Know its limits. The bucket holds 3 gallons, so it is a small-area machine, and EDIC's manual says not to use it to pick up floor stripper. For larger carpeted areas, a 19-inch machine like EDIC's Polaris covers ground faster, and if you only clean carpet, the 401TR does the same job without the valve.”
A 12-inch self-contained carpet extractor with a flow control valve and a lift-off bucket.
The EDIC Fivestar 411TR is the flow-control version of EDIC's compact self-contained carpet extractor. A solution control valve on the side switches between high and low solution flow, and EDIC's operator manual includes a floor setting for cleaning hard floors. The 12-inch, 4-row chevron brush turns at 2,500 RPM, solution sprays at 85 psi, and a 2 HP, 112 CFM vacuum provides 107 inches of water lift.
Solution and recovery share a lift-off 3-gallon bucket with a bladder, so you fill and empty at the sink without pouring anything into the machine. The brush and vacuum shoe self-adjust and self-level for different carpet lengths and uneven floors, a side extension reaches baseboards, and the handle adjusts and folds down. The unit weighs 40 lb and runs on a 25 ft cord at 12 A.
