“The Fivestar fills the gap between a spotter and a full-size self-contained extractor. At 40 lb with a 12-inch brush, it suits schools, offices, churches, hotels and property managers who need to clean traffic lanes, small rooms and spots without bringing out a big machine.
The bucket is the part people notice. Solution and recovery share one lift-off bucket with a bladder, so you carry it to the sink, empty it, refill it and set it back on. Nothing gets poured into the machine. The brush and vacuum shoe self-adjust to carpet height, the side extension reaches baseboards, and the handle folds down for storage.
Be realistic about size: a 3-gallon bucket and a 12-inch path mean frequent refills on large areas, where a 19-inch machine like EDIC's Polaris will move faster. Hoses and an upholstery tool are optional, so add them if you plan to do stairs or furniture. If you also clean hard floors, the 411TR adds a flow control valve.”

The EDIC Fivestar 401TR is a compact self-contained carpet extractor with a 12-inch cleaning path. A 1/6 HP brush motor turns a 4-row chevron brush at 2,500 RPM on sealed stainless steel ball bearings, and a 2 HP, 112 CFM vacuum motor provides 107 inches of water lift. Solution sprays at 85 psi, and the brush and vacuum shoe self-adjust and self-level for different carpet lengths and uneven floors.
Solution and recovery share a lift-off 3-gallon bucket with a bladder, so you fill and empty from the same bucket without pouring into the machine. A see-through recovery dome shows what you're picking up, and a side extension cleans to baseboards. The handle adjusts and folds down, the unit weighs 40 lb, and optional hose and upholstery kits attach to the back for stairs and furniture.
