“The 2700IX-PTAC-K is a Galaxy Pro set up for one job: cleaning the PTAC wall units found in hotels, apartments, dorms, senior living and other buildings with a unit in every room. It pairs a 17-gallon solution tank and 15-gallon recovery tank with a 220 psi pump, a 2 ft spray wand, a 25 ft vacuum hose and a 35 ft solution line, so the machine can be parked away from the unit while you work.

Capacity is what stands out on a PTAC route. You can work through a lot of units between refills, and the sink fill adaptor lets you refill from a room sink. The machine is heat-ready for EDIC's 2000-watt Heat N'Run heater, and EDIC offers carpet, stair and upholstery tools for the Galaxy Pro, so the same machine can extract carpet between PTAC jobs.

Two things to know. The PTAC Cleaning Cradle that holds the unit during cleaning is not part of this kit; EDIC sells it separately as the 7000AC. And this version uses a single 3-stage vacuum rated at 138 inches of water lift, so if carpet extraction is the main job, the dual-vacuum Galaxy Pro 2700IX-HR is the stronger choice.”

The EDIC Galaxy Pro 2700IX-PTAC-K is a 17-gallon portable extractor configured for PTAC cleaning. It has a 15-gallon recovery tank, a 220 psi pump and a single 3-stage vacuum motor rated at 138 inches of water lift. The kit adds a 25 ft vacuum hose, a 35 ft solution line with quick disconnects, a 2 ft spray wand and a sink fill adaptor.

Construction follows the Galaxy Pro: a polyethylene body on a 1/4-inch aluminum baseplate, 10-inch non-marking rear wheels, 4-inch locking front casters and a 50 ft detachable power cord. The machine is heat-ready for EDIC's Heat N'Run external heater. EDIC's PTAC Cleaning Cradle (7000AC), which holds and tilts the PTAC unit and directs wastewater to the vacuum, is sold separately.
