“The Galaxy 2000IX-HR is the middle pressure option in EDIC's 12-gallon Galaxy 2000 line. It suits in-house carpet care teams and smaller contractors who want more than the 100 psi base model for restorative cleaning, upholstery and spot work, without moving up to a machine that needs a 20 amp circuit.
At 220 psi, with dual 3-stage vacuum motors and 190 inches of water lift, it pairs with EDIC's wand kits for 100-250 psi machines. Like the rest of the line it is heat-ready, so EDIC's Heat N'Run heater can be hung on the back later for 200+ degree solution, and the heater lifts off for repair without taking the extractor down. The connections are on the rear, three sides are free of fittings for loading, and a 5-gallon bucket fits under the drain valve.
The trade-off against the 2000CX-HR is pressure. For heavy soil in high-traffic carpet or when you want adjustable pressure, the 500 psi CX is the better fit. This listing is the machine only, so add a wand and hose.”

The EDIC Galaxy 2000IX-HR is a 12-gallon portable carpet extractor with an 11-gallon recovery tank, a 220 psi pump and dual 3-stage vacuum motors with 190 inches of water lift and 100 CFM. It runs on a single 50 ft detachable cord and draws 14.1 amps. This listing is the machine only; the wand, hose and heater are separate.
The Galaxy 2000 is heat-ready: EDIC's Heat N'Run external heater mounts on built-in brackets at the back and can be lifted off for repair while the extractor keeps working without heat. Upright-mounted vacuum motors with an intercooler, a clamshell body, top-mounted switches, a 1/4-inch aluminum baseplate, 10-inch non-marking rear wheels and 4-inch locking casters complete the design.
