New Cimex Cyclone CR48SC 19" Three-Brush Scrubber/Polisher
Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)
“The Cyclone 48 works differently from a standard rotary floor machine. Instead of one large brush, it runs three contra-rotating 7.9-inch (20 cm) brushes at 400 rpm, and each one floats, so it follows grout lines, slip-resistant tile and textured stone that a single flat pad tends to ride over. That makes it a strong fit for commercial kitchens, restrooms and entryways with textured tile.
The same machine also polishes, and with shampoo brushes it cleans carpet, so one unit can cover several jobs. Truvox rates it at 60 dB(A), the motor housing is only 1.77 in (45 mm) tall for reaching under furniture, and reversing brush action extends brush life.
The trade-off is that it is a scrubber/polisher, not an auto-scrubber. There is no vacuum or recovery tank, so dirty solution has to be picked up with a wet vac or mop afterward. If you want to scrub and dry in one pass, look at a walk-behind auto-scrubber instead.”
“Since purchasing our floor scrubber from Southeastern Equipment & Supply Darren has been AWESOME.” — Facilities Manager, Google review
Three floating brushes for scrubbing, polishing and grout lines.
The Cimex Cyclone 48 is a three-brush, contra-rotating scrubber/polisher from Truvox International with a 18.9 in (48 cm) working width. Its three 7.9 in (20 cm) brushes turn at 400 rpm with 0.54 psi (38 g/cm²) of brush pressure. Truvox says it scrubs, cleans and polishes virtually all floor types, including vinyl, ceramic and uneven surfaces.
The floating brushes clean grout lines, slip-resistant floors and textured natural stone, reversing brush action extends brush life, and non-marking wheels are meant to leave a professional finish. Truvox lists a 6.6-gallon (25 L) solution tank, a 60 dB(A) sound level, a 49-foot (15 m) cable and a weight of 103.6 lb (47 kg). Brushes from light-scrub polypropylene to Tynex, shampoo brushes and drive discs are optional.
