New Cimex Diamond Finisher CR48DF 19" Three-Head Floor Machine
Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)
“The Cimex Diamond Finisher is a three-head machine for stone and concrete restoration: cutting out lippage and scratches on marble, terrazzo and granite, then refining the surface with progressively finer diamonds. It suits restoration contractors and facility teams that look after natural stone and want to do that work in-house.
What stands out is the three counter-rotating heads on a 19-inch path. Because the heads turn against each other, the machine avoids most of the sideways pull of a single-pad machine, and the floating heads follow uneven floors. Each time the operator pulls the switch lever, the head rotation reverses, which evens out wear on discs and pads. The 6.6-gallon solution tank feeds water to the heads for wet work, and 880 rpm is a finishing speed rather than a heavy removal speed.
The trade-off is the wet process. Every grit step leaves a slurry that has to be picked up with a wet vacuum before the next one, so plan the job around that. If the work is mostly coating removal or scarifying concrete, look at the 400 rpm Cimex Surface Scarifier instead.”
Three-head diamond finishing for concrete, marble, terrazzo and stone.
The Cimex Diamond Finisher CR48DF is a three-head floor machine for preparing, maintaining and restoring concrete, marble, granite, terrazzo and stone. Three counter-rotating heads, each 7.9 inches across, cover a 19-inch path at 880 rpm. They work with diamond-faced discs graded from coarse to fine, so the same machine handles newly laid floors, damaged stone and re-polishing.
A 6.6-gallon solution tank feeds water to the heads for wet processing, controlled by a lever on the handle. The floating heads follow uneven surfaces, and each time the motor lever is operated the head rotation reverses, which extends pad and disc life and reshapes brush tips. The machine has a 2 hp motor and a 50-ft power cord, and runs at 65 dB(A).
