“The Cyclone 38 is the compact member of Cimex’s three-brush family, and the reason to look at it is what happens under the 15-inch deck. Instead of one large pad, three 6.5-inch brushes float independently and counter-rotate, so they ride down into grout lines, slip-resistant tile and textured stone that a single flat pad tends to skate over.
That makes the CR38SC a good fit for restrooms, commercial kitchens, locker rooms and entryways, where tile and grout are the real problem and space is tight. The motor housing is only 1.65 in (42 mm) tall, so it reaches under counters and furniture, and Truvox rates it at a quiet 60 dB(A), which helps in schools, offices and healthcare spaces during the day.
Be clear on what it is: a scrubber/polisher, not an auto-scrubber. It has no vacuum or recovery tank, so the dirty solution gets picked up with a wet vac or mop afterward. If the job is large open floors you want to scrub and dry in one pass, a walk-behind auto-scrubber is the better tool. For larger tile areas, the 19-inch Cyclone 48 covers more floor per pass.”

The Cimex Cyclone 38 is a three-brush, contra-rotating scrubber/polisher from Truvox International with a 15-inch (38 cm) working width. Truvox says it scrubs, cleans and polishes most floor types, including vinyl, ceramic and uneven surfaces, and that its floating brushes clean grout lines, slip-resistant floors and textured natural stone. The CR38SC is set up for hard floors; the CR38CM is the carpet version.
Reversing brush action extends brush life, and non-marking wheels are meant to leave a professional finish. Truvox lists a 6.6-gallon (25 L) solution tank, a 60 dB(A) sound level, a 49-foot (15 m) cable, a 1.65 in (42 mm) motor height and a weight of 83.8 lb (38 kg). Fibre, polypropylene and nylon scrub brushes, a shampoo brush and a drive disc are offered as accessories.
