“The Cyclone 38 is the compact member of the Cimex Cyclone family, with three contra-rotating brushes under a 15-inch deck. That three-brush layout is the reason to look at it. Instead of one large pad, three 6.5-inch brushes float on their own, so they follow grout lines, slip-resistant tile and textured stone that a single flat pad tends to ride over.
It suits schools, offices and hotels that want one smaller machine for carpet care and hard-floor scrubbing. With shampoo brushes it works carpet; switch to fibre, polypropylene or nylon brushes and it scrubs hard floors. The motor housing stands only 1.65 in (42 mm) tall, so it reaches under furniture, and Truvox rates it at 60 dB(A).
Be clear on what it is not: it has no vacuum or recovery tank, so it is not an extractor, and soil has to be vacuumed or picked up afterward. Carpet work calls for the 400 rpm slow-speed version. For large open areas, the bigger Cyclone 48 covers more floor per pass.”

The Cimex Cyclone 38 is a three-brush, contra-rotating scrubber/polisher from Truvox International with a 15-inch (38 cm) working width. Truvox builds it in a standard 620 rpm version and a slow-speed 400 rpm version; only the slow-speed version carries a shampooing rating, and Truvox says the 620 rpm version is not suitable for carpet cleaning.
The floating brushes clean grout lines, slip-resistant floors and textured natural stone, and the reversing brush action extends brush life. Truvox lists a 6.6-gallon (25 L) solution tank, a 60 dB(A) sound level, a 49-foot (15 m) cable and a weight of 83.8 lb (38 kg). Shampoo, fibre, polypropylene and nylon brushes and a drive disc are offered, so one machine can clean carpet or scrub hard floors.
