“The CFP Pro 17HD goes out to contract cleaners, custodians, schools, office complexes and carpet cleaners. When someone is choosing between this and another machine, it usually comes down to two things: the size of the area they're working and whether the machine can fit between the obstacles in the way on the floor. If you're covering big open floors, a larger machine may make more sense. If you're working around obstacles, the 17-inch size is the advantage.
The one mistake we warn buyers about is running the pad holder without a pad, or with a pad that's worn too thin. Do that and you'll destroy the pad holder. Check your pads before every job and replace them before they wear down.
As for how they hold up, these are very durable units that should last a good long time. This brand is very well built, and the CFP Pro 17HD is no exception.”

The Clarke CFP Pro 17HD is a 17-inch (43.2 cm), 175 rpm floor machine built for heavy-duty daily use. A 1.5 hp (1.1 kW) heavy-duty 66-frame motor drives the pad through an all-steel triple planetary gear box. The machine has all-metal construction and weighs 101 lb (45.8 kg).
Fingertip controls, a handle-mounted safety lock-out switch and a foot-actuated handle lock make it straightforward to operate. It runs on 110 V at 13 A with a 50-foot safety-yellow cord, and a cord wrap stores the cord when not in use. A 16-inch pad driver with a universal clutch plate is included, and a 2.5-gallon solution tank is available as an option.
