“The SC401 is for small spaces where a mop and bucket is still the daily routine: convenience stores, gas stations, cafes, classrooms and clinic hallways. It scrubs a 17-inch path and picks up behind itself in the same pass, so floors are dry and ready for traffic right away, and the 8-gallon tanks hold enough for over an hour of cleaning. The controls are about as simple as it gets, with a One-Touch button and a click-on brush, which matters when the machine gets handed to whoever is on shift.
Picking a package comes down to two questions. First, brush assist or traction drive: the 17B is lighter and runs up to three hours, while the 17BD adds a drive motor so the operator isn’t pushing, which helps on longer routes. Second, batteries: the 105 Ah wet set needs regular watering, and the 98 Ah gel set is sealed and maintenance-free.”
A compact 17-inch scrubber for small spaces
The Advance SC401™ is a compact, battery-powered walk-behind automatic floor scrubber with a 17-inch disc brush. Advance positions it as an easy-to-use alternative to labor-intensive mop-and-bucket cleaning in small spaces such as gas stations and schools. Its center-pivot squeegee keeps optimal blade pressure and picks up in forward and reverse, so one pass leaves hard floors clean, dry and ready for use. Choose the 17B brush-assist model or the 17BD with traction drive, each with wet or gel batteries and an onboard charger.

Reading the model numbers: Nilfisk lists these packages as SC401 17B W105 OBC PB, 17B G98 OBC PB, 17BD W105 OBC PB and 17BD G98 OBC PB. 17B is the brush-assist model and 17BD adds traction drive. W105 is two 105 Ah wet batteries, G98 is two 98 Ah sealed gel batteries, OBC is the onboard charger and PB is the Prolene brush.
