“The SA40 is for crews that have outgrown a walk-behind but don't need a full-size rider. The operator stands on a low platform, so stepping off to move a mat or hit a spot is quick. The compact clamshell body also fits in a cramped janitor's closet. Clarke built it for small to medium-size areas where maneuverability matters more than raw width.
The 12-gallon solution tank and low flow setting give up to 75 minutes of scrubbing between refills. Flow can be changed from the dashboard without stopping, and down pressure goes up to 75 lb for problem areas. A quiet mode helps when the building is occupied. Both packages here are the same 20-inch disc machine with a pad holder and onboard charger. The 208 Ah wet batteries give you more capacity per charge, while the 140 Ah AGM batteries trade some capacity for sealed, no-watering maintenance.”
A compact 20-inch stand-on disc scrubber
The Clarke SA40™ 20B is a battery-powered stand-on automatic floor scrubber with a 20-inch disc deck, sized for small to medium-size hard-floor areas. A 0.375 hp drive motor moves it at up to 2.6 mph while scrubbing. A wrap-around squeegee picks up the water for dry floors, and a safety dead-man switch and GO pedal keep control simple. Front and rear fill ports make filling flexible, and the flip-up lid and tilt-back tank open up the recovery tank, debris catch cage and batteries.

Reading the model numbers: Clarke calls this machine the SA40 20B. Both packages use the 20-inch disc deck with a 20-inch 3-lug pad holder. W208 in the Clarke package name means 208 Ah wet batteries, and the AGM package (named A150 by Clarke) ships with 12 V, 140 Ah AGM batteries.
