“The Focus II Rider 28 BOOST is the rider to look at if your floor program includes stripping and recoating. Clarke says the BOOST head can take off floor finish without chemicals, so a crew can strip without mixing and spreading stripper across the floor. On regular nights it works as a 28-inch rider with 31-gallon tanks and low solution flow settings, so one tank goes a long way across schools, healthcare hallways and other big hard-floor areas.

The package choice is about batteries and chemical. The 310 Ah wet set with the onboard charger covers standard shifts. The 420 Ah wet set gives longer runs and charges from an off-board shelf charger, so plan for a charging spot. The 312 Ah AGM set is sealed for crews that would rather not water batteries. Add the Chemical Mixing System if you want the machine to meter detergent for you.”

The Clarke Focus II Rider 28 BOOST is a battery-powered ride-on floor scrubber with a 28 in (71 cm) BOOST® scrub deck and 31 gal (117 L) solution and recovery tanks. Instead of a spinning disc, the BOOST head runs at 2,250 rpm, and Clarke says it can remove floor finish without chemicals, which saves time and material cost and cuts the risk of slip-and-falls and chemical spills that come with conventional stripping. The same deck handles routine scrubbing of large hard floors, with three scrub pressure settings, low solution flow rates and Universal One-Touch™ controls. It cleans at up to 3.12 mph for a maximum coverage of 38,438 sq ft per hour and turns in a 63 in (160 cm) radius.

Reading the model numbers: Nilfisk names these packages FOCUS II R 28B followed by the battery and charger code. W is wet batteries, A is AGM, the number is the amp-hour rating, OBC is an onboard charger and SC is an off-board shelf charger. CH marks the packages with the optional Chemical Mixing System, and PH means the machine ships with a pad holder. The scrubbing specs are the same across every package.
