“The BSW 28 is a battery walk-behind sweeper for buildings that need to sweep both hard floors and carpet with one machine. It covers a 28-inch path by pairing a 20-inch main broom with an active side broom that pulls debris out from along the walls, and power traction drives the wheels, so the operator steers instead of pushing.
The day-to-day details are simple. A single 12 V, 86 Ah gel battery is maintenance-free, so there is no watering, and the 6 A charger is built in. Clarke rates run time at 2.5 to 3 hours on carpet. Filtered dust control with a filter shaker keeps dust down, it climbs slopes up to 20%, and it is rated at 59 dB(A). The handle adjusts and folds over without tools.
Two things to plan for. The standard main broom is a black multi-purpose nylon broom; if most of your sweeping is heavy carpet, Clarke recommends the optional wavy-bristle carpet broom. And the 2.1 cubic foot hopper means more trips to the trash on big jobs, so if you cover large open areas every day, look at a rider sweeper instead.”

It sweeps a 28-inch (71.1 cm) path with a 20-inch main broom and an active side broom that reaches debris along wall edges. A direct-throw system fills a removable 2.1 cu ft polyethylene hopper, and power shuts off automatically when the hopper is removed.
Active filtered dust control uses a 10.8 sq ft filter with a filter shaker. Self-propelled power traction can be engaged with either hand and drives large non-marking wheels that handle slopes up to 20%. A 12 V, 86 Ah maintenance-free gel battery and 6 A onboard charger give 2.5 to 3 hours of run time on carpet, and the sound level is 59 dB(A).
