New Clarke Comfort Pak 10 Backpack Vacuum
Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)
“The Comfort Pak 10 is a backpack vacuum built around its harness. The frame, designed by backpackers, has padded shoulder straps and lumbar support that put most of the weight on the hips, and exhaust air is directed up and away from the operator. That makes it a fit for crews vacuuming offices, classrooms, stores and stairs for long stretches.
It has the power for the job: a 1,300 W motor rated at 144 cfm and 99 inches of water lift, a 10-quart capacity and 4-stage filtration, with HEPA optional. At 62 dBA it is quiet enough for occupied spaces, the swivel hose works left- or right-handed, and the on/off switch sits on the belt. The standard tool kit covers carpet, hard floors, upholstery and detail work.
The trade-off is weight. At 10.8 pounds before the cord, it is the heavier of the two Comfort Pak sizes. For smaller operators or mostly light detail routes, the 6-quart Comfort Pak 6 at 9.3 pounds may suit better.”
A backpack vac that carries on the hips.
The Clarke Comfort Pak 10 is a backpack vacuum with a 10-quart (9.5 L) capacity. Its ergonomic frame, designed by backpackers, has padded shoulder straps and lumbar support and carries most of the weight over the hips while letting air flow across the operator's back. Exhaust air is directed upward and away from the operator, and the unit weighs 10.8 lb (4.9 kg) without the cord.
A 1,300 W, 10-amp motor delivers 144 cfm of airflow and 99 inches of water lift, with 4-stage filtration and an optional HEPA filter. It is rated at 62 dBA. The swivel hose works for left- or right-hand use, the on/off switch is on the belt, and an adhesive bag closure makes bag changes less messy. Clarke states it is CRI Green Label approved.
