“The Spectrum 15D is the dual-motor version of Advance's 14.5-inch upright. Next to the two-stage, 1,000-watt vacuum motor it has its own 350-watt brush motor, for 1,350 watts in total, so the brush is not driven off the vacuum motor. It fits hotels, schools and building service contractors who vacuum a lot of commercial carpet every shift.
An easy-release foot pedal turns the brush motor on and off when the handle is upright, and a warning light tells the operator when the brush is set too low. Filtration matches the rest of the Spectrum line: a 2-ply paper bag, motor protection filter and certified HEPA exhaust filter, with the CRI Seal of Approval. The stretch hose, wand, crevice tool and upholstery tool ride on board.
Expect 21.3 pounds with the cord and a 4.2-quart bag that needs regular changes in heavy soil. For mostly guest rooms, the lighter 15P or the low-profile 12H may be enough; for open floors, look at the 18D and its 17.5-inch path.”

The Advance Spectrum 15D is a dual-motor commercial upright vacuum with a 14.5-inch cleaning path. A two-stage, 1,000-watt, 9-amp vacuum motor rated at 92 inches of water lift and 93 cfm is paired with a 350-watt brush motor, for 1,350 watts in total. The dual-row chevron nylon brush turns at 2,800 rpm and has variable manual height adjustment.
Three-stage filtration uses a 2-ply paper filter bag with 4.2-quart capacity, a motor protection filter and a certified HEPA exhaust filter. A quick-draw wand with a 4:1 stretch hose, crevice tool and upholstery tool is stored on board, and the brush removes without tools. The 15D has a 50-foot 18/3 safety-yellow cord, is rated at 69 dBA and weighs 21.3 lb with the cord.
